OVERVIEW

This 4th edition of Image Portal Lite is an entry level, Web-based solution for managing libraries of digital images, documents and rich media files (up to 10,000 total assets). This solution is geared toward workgroups that have reached the point where CDs and hard drives are no longer a viable option for managing digital assets, and they are ready to take the next step. Image Portal Lite is an affordable Digital Asset Management (DAM) option that can be upgraded to other products in the Image Portal Family as needs scale.

 

A TRULY WEB-BASED SOLUTION

Unlike many DAM systems that offer Web modules as an after-thought, Image Portal Lite was built from its inception to be a Web-based solution. Mac or PC. Safari, Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape. To the end user it doesn't matter because Image Portal Lite is accessible from any browser that is connected to the Web -no client side components are needed. Whether it's a salesperson on the road, an art director working from home, or a partner accessing digital assets from around the globe, a truly Web-based solution translates into truly efficient collaboration.

 

COLLABORATION & WORKFLOWS

From its Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) foundation to its integration with Adobe Creative Suite 2, Image Portal Lite was built to be a centralized digital asset hub that can seamlessly sync with any work-in-progress project or other custom workflows. When used in conjunction with the Web Services module, Image Portal Lite can easily integrate into a wide variety of complimenting systems, allowing for complete data automation. Image Portal Lite includes many workflow enhancing features, including batch metadata editing, cart management, smart folders, and saved searches (see FEATURES section for details).

 

FLEXIBLE & FRIENDLY

NetXposure applications are based on open standard technologies, and are built to be as flexible as possible with the ability to integrate into a wide variety of technology environments. Image Portal Lite works with third-party JDBC-compliant databases and supports most popular application servers (see the back page for details). At the heart of Image Portal Lite is Exogen, NetXposure's proprietary J2EE-based Application Framework developed for deploying Enterprise Web-based applications. Image Portal Lite leverages Exogen's uniquely powerful performance, security, scalability and integration features to be efficient and dependable.

 

SECURITY & ADMINISTRATION

Administrators control access to assets both on the user and asset level. Users can be assigned to one of seven different functionality levels, while user groups help manage specific access roles. Image Portal Lite utilizes a flexible and powerful Access Control List (ACL) system for granular access control over assets. This security system can be optionally integrated directly into your existing Directory Server -centralizing control -drastically reducing configuration time and overall security maintenance. Additionally, Image Portal Lite can be augmented with standard security technologies, including Certification-based access control, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
